For those of you who missed the reunion this year, you missed a great time. Although we had the lowest attendance in 15 years (108), we still had a great time. We asked everyone if they wanted to continue the reunions in the future and everyone still wants to have it. Some suggested we have it every other year, but if we do that, we will lose the building. More than likely, we would have to either have it on a different date or have it somewhere else (or both). We feel that everyone is so used to it being at the same place and at the same time each year, we will just continue on until attendance gets so low we can’t pay the rental fee. Let us know what your opinion is.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take any pictures this year, so if you have pictures you can send me, please do and I’ll put them in the gallery. Just e-mail them to phyllis@berwindwv.com. If you have copies you’d like to mail, just let me know and I’ll e-mail you my address.

On a sad note, Esther and Woodrow Richardson received some bad news once they got home from the reunion. Their son, Roger, had a heart attack and had to have emergency bypass surgery (5 of them!). He’s doing okay now, though, but please keep him, as well as Esther and Woodrow, in your thoughts and prayers.

Anna Mae (McNew) Rutherford’s daughter, Robyn Peevy, had a seizure and they did a cat scan and found a mass the size of a grape on her brain. Some of you may remember meeting her at the reunion. The mass is on the right side above her temple. The doc said he is sure it is benign. They are going to run more tests. Please keep Robyn in your thoughts and prayers. She is at Inova Fairfax Hospital, 3300 Gallows Rd, Falls Church, VA 22042.

I think that’s all the news for now. If you have any news you’d like for us to publish on this web site, please let me or Wanda know at phyllis@berwindwv.com or wanda@berwindwv.com.
